On the evening of July 22nd, server manufacturer Inspur Information (000977) stated in response to questions on the investor interaction platform that the company has not yet conducted any business or cooperation related to "B20", and this message is not true.

Earlier that day, foreign media reported that Nvidia is developing a new flagship AI chip for the Chinese market, which will comply with current export control regulations in the United States. Nvidia will collaborate with its distributor in China, Inspur Group, to distribute this chip, tentatively named "B20".

Nvidia launched the "Blackwell" chip series in March this year, which will be mass-produced later this year. The new processor combines two silicon wafers, the same size as the company's previous products. In this series, the B200 is 30 times faster than its predecessor in certain tasks, such as providing answers to chatbots.

Previously, Nvidia developed customized chip H20 series for the Chinese market to comply with US export regulations. In February of this year, H20 began accepting pre orders.

After the launch of H20 in China, there have been reports that due to its significantly reduced performance and high price, Chinese customers' interest in purchasing has decreased, and they will turn more to choose domestically produced AI chips in China.

Although Inspur Information denies cooperating with Nvidia on the B20 business, it is not surprising that Nvidia is developing a customized chip for China. A server industry insider said that they believe Nvidia is doing this, and it is not difficult for Nvidia to develop such a chip.

The Chinese market is very important for Nvidia, but due to various restrictions imposed by US policies, the proportion of revenue in the Chinese market has declined.

In the first quarter of fiscal year 2025, which ended on April 28th and was released in May this year, Nvidia's revenue from Chinese customers in the data center business has decreased from 19% in fiscal year 2023 to a median percentage in fiscal year 2024.

Nvidia CEO Huang Renxun stated at the earnings conference that due to various restrictions, the data center business in China has significantly decreased, and the company will continue to serve Chinese customers to the greatest extent possible.

We have respected customers and we will do our best to serve every one of them. Our business in China has indeed declined significantly compared to the past. Due to restrictions, competition in China is now more intense. These are all facts. However, Nvidia will continue to make every effort to provide services to customers in the Chinese market and will do its best, "said Huang Renxun.

On July 17th, Lin Jian, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that China has repeatedly expressed a firm stance on the malicious blockade and suppression of China's semiconductor industry by the United States. The United States politicizes, securitizes, and instrumentalizes economic, trade, and technological issues, continuously increases its chip export controls on China, coerces other countries, suppresses China's semiconductor industry, seriously undermines international trade rules, damages global supply chain stability, and is not conducive to any party. China has always been firmly opposed to this. We hope that relevant countries can distinguish right from wrong, firmly resist coercion, jointly maintain a fair and open international economic and trade order, and truly safeguard their own long-term interests.

As of the close on the 22nd, Inspur Information reported a price of 39.06 yuan, up 2.17%, while Nvidia's US stock rose more than 2% before trading.
